Jan Van Eyck

Jan Van Eyck (1390-1441). He was a Flemish artist who worked in Bruges. he is considered one of the most important painters of the North of Europe in the XV century and the most famous of the primitive Flemish artists.

What is Flemish Art?

Style of art, especially painting, developed principally in Flanders and northern France during the 15th century, principally characterized by sharply delineated forms, naturalistic proportions, clear, usually cool colors, and the use of perspective.
